Pulmonary Function Therapist
Job description
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with St. Peter’s Health in Helena, Montana, in the search for a Pulmonary Function Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven healthcare system committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences and setting the standard for quality care across Montana.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) with a strong focus on accuracy, patient comfort, and clinical excellence. You will work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to promote continuity and ensure all testing aligns with established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive pulmonary function tests with attention to precision and patient-centered care
Uphold quality control measures in accordance with department protocols
Communicate effectively with patients and their families during high-stress situations
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Accurately input patient data using electronic health systems
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in Pulmonary Function Testing, including quality control practices
Education: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Licensure: Active Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
Preferred: Registered Pulmonary Therapist designation
