Publishing Assistant / Employee Publishing (m/w/d)

We are Saage Media GmbH. As a young, modern media company, we publish guidebooks and entertainment books using AI (Artificial Intelligence) for the international market. Our headquarters is located in the inspiring SpinLab in Leipzig (Baumwollspinnerei), one of the most exciting places for innovations in Germany.

As we grow, we are looking for a right-hand person in our daily operations for approximately 20 hours per week.

Tasks

You don't have to be an IT expert and also not write books yourself. We are looking for someone who is pragmatic, thinks ahead, and efficiently supports our processes.

• Quality Control: You check our book PDFs before publication for layout-check, formatting, etc.
• Publishing & Uploads: You upload the finished files to our platforms and maintain the metadata.
• Customer Support: You answer friendly and efficiently customer inquiries (mostly via email) and help with smaller problems.
• Operative Support: You keep us free and supports in organizational matters that arise in publishing operations.

Qualification

Passion for Books: You have a feeling for how an appealing book layout should look and find errors that others miss.

Tech-Stack: We work in the Apple ecosystem. You are a secure Mac user and quickly get used to new software tools.

Linguistic Talent: German on a native speaker level is required (for proofreading). Good English is expected. Any additional language (ES, PT, FR, IT, NL) is a huge plus!

Work Style: You work pragmatically and efficiently. You don't get lost in details, but still work diligently.

Location: Ideally, you live in Leipzig or the surrounding area (for weekly meetings).
