Job description
sofatutor is a digital learning platform for almost 2 million children, students, parents, and teachers. As a Public Affairs Manager, you will actively shape educational policy in Germany: You will represent sofatutor in politics, network with ministries, federal states, and associations, and drive digital education forward. Together with the Director Schools, you will navigate the control centers of educational policy β from ministries of education to municipal school authorities.
π remote within Germany | β³ 40 h / week
Your Responsibilities:
Networking: Building relationships with politics, ministries, school authorities β especially in the federal states.
Representation: Representing sofatutor at conferences, trade fairs, public events, and in committees.
Monitoring and Strategy Development: Monitoring regulatory developments and creating strategic recommendations for action for our team and our organization.
Sales & Negotiation: Direct sales of our school products to federal states, school authorities, and municipal educational institutions, as well as successful negotiation of product options and contract terms.
Political Communication: Creation of position papers, briefings, and political communication materials.
What you bring to the table:
Well-founded experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, Political Communication or a comparable field β ideally with a connection to the (digital) education sector.
Knowledge of relevant educational policy institutions and processes (KMK, federal government, ministries of education, state school laws).
Confident demeanor in dealing with political decision-makers and public institutions, as well as an understanding of the associated decision-making processes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to concisely present complex issues to different target groups.
Enjoyment of networking and a desire to give sofatutor a voice through presentations or in panel discussions.
Willingness to travel within Germany to represent sofatutor regularly at trade fairs or other networking events (approx. 1-2 times per month).
German at a native level, as well as good English skills for internal communication.
