The Schaffhausen Hospitals comprise the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Posthof Neuhausen Radiology and Cardiology Practices, and the Schaffhausen Zentrum Neurology Practice. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care for the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Furthermore, we are an important training institution in the canton.

The Schaffhausen Hospitals (SSH) ensure the basic pediatric and adolescent psychiatric care in the canton of Schaffhausen. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (KJPD) provides outpatient and day-clinic services for children, adolescents, and their families on a public mandate.

What awaits you

• You conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations for children and adolescents, contributing to a well-founded evaluation of their individual situation.
• You undertake psychological interventions and support children, adolescents, and their caregivers in dealing with psychological and psychosocial challenges.
• You deepen your diagnostic and therapeutic skills and receive professional guidance, supervision, and support in your further development.
• You work closely with the interdisciplinary team, as well as with parents, schools, physicians, and other specialized services.
• You actively contribute to the team, participate in case discussions, and ensure careful documentation and reporting.

What you will bring to us

• You hold a Master's degree in Psychology or an equivalent recognized degree.
• You enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families and wish to further develop your professional future in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry or psychotherapy.
• You approach young people and their caregivers with empathy, appreciation, and on equal footing.
• You enjoy working interdisciplinarily, are open to different perspectives, and actively contribute to collaboration.
• You work reliably, independently, and reflectively, are willing to learn, and are open to professional guidance and supervision.
• You are willing to help shape the KJPD of the Schaffhausen Hospitals together with our new Chief Physician KJPD.
