With BRÜGGEN ENGINEERING, you will shape the future of diagnostics in the Point-of-Care sector. You will combine microsystems technology, material sciences, and experimental research to advance innovative diagnostic solutions from the initial feasibility study to their transfer into production.

Responsibilities

• Test Carrier Development: You will independently manage technical work packages and sub-projects for the development and evaluation of new test carrier formats for Point-of-Care applications and assess their technical feasibility

• Process Development: You will define, establish, and optimize manufacturing processes for diagnostic test systems

• Testing/Experimentation: You will plan and conduct experimental investigations on new materials, manufacturing approaches, and technological concepts

• Evaluation/Documentation: You will evaluate experimental results and document your findings

• Optimization: You will optimize test carrier materials, surface structures, and functionalizations, considering the interfaces with sensor technology and measurement technology

• Technology Research: You will conduct literature and patent research and derive new approaches for manufacturing processes and diagnostic applications from it

Qualifications

• Education: Completed studies in microsystems technology, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, material sciences, process engineering, or a comparable field

• PoC Experience: Experience in development in the field of Point-of-Care, diagnostic test carriers, biosensors, or comparable systems

• Product Knowledge: Profound knowledge of test carrier/sensor architecture, material selection, manufacturing and characterization, as well as the transfer of laboratory processes to production

• Technical Experience: Practical experience with dispensing systems, microdispensing, additive manufacturing processes, or laser processing

• Work Style: Independent, structured, and experimentally oriented way of working with a pronounced hands-on mentality

• Languages: Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
