POSITION OBJECTIVES

The Technical Product Owner leads the definition, construction, and evolution of complete digital solutions for the Sevenly ecosystem (7-Eleven Mexico, Petro-7, and Más Bodega), combining product vision, technical judgment, and business sense to translate customer and business needs into scalable technological solutions. They act as a bridge between Business, Architecture, and Development under agile methodologies, proactively driving the adoption of headless/composable architectures and leading product teams to accelerate the growth and innovation of the digital ecosystem. Additionally, they provide support to Sevenly's technical operations, assisting in incident management and coordinating maintenance that ensures service continuity and availability.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

You will contribute to our organization's success by carrying out the following activities:

Role 1: Vision and product strategy for the Sevenly ecosystem

• Define and maintain the vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog of the digital products within the Sevenly ecosystem, aligned with business objectives.

• Identify growth opportunities (new functionalities, channels, integrations) based on market analysis, usage data, and customer needs.

• Present and defend the product strategy to Management and business stakeholders, translating commercial objectives into digital initiatives.

Role 2: Design and architecture of technical solutions

• Actively participate in the design of end-to-end technical solutions together with Architecture and Development, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Evaluate and drive the adoption of headless / composable commerce architectures (APIs, microservices, integrations) to accelerate the ecosystem's time-to-market.

• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and clear technical specifications for development teams.

• Provide support to Sevenly's technical operations, assisting in incident management and coordinating maintenance that may affect the availability of digital platforms.

Role 3: Agile leadership of product teams

• Lead and develop the team of Product Owners, distributing work by domain and ensuring the quality of deliveries.

• Facilitate and participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, review, retrospective), ensuring correct backlog prioritization and management.

• Foster proactivity, autonomy, and continuous improvement within product teams, promoting an agile culture throughout the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Professional Studies:

• Computer Systems Engineering / Software Engineering
• Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Digital Business, or related field

Knowledge:

• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Headless / composable commerce architectures (APIs, microservices)
• Product management tools (Jira, Confluence, ProductBoard/Aha!)
• Data analytics and BI (SQL, Looker/Power BI, Datadog)
• UX/UI and Design Thinking fundamentals

Experience:

• Digital product management (Product Owner/Product Manager) in agile environments
• Design or implementation of solutions with headless / e-commerce / omnichannel architectures
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams (product, technology, business)
• Previous technical roles (development, architecture, or systems analysis)
