Property & Trust Associate

Our client is a leading commercial and property boutique firm based in Auckland's CBD, highly regarded within the legal network. The firm is known for its solid partnership, strong culture, and excellent succession opportunities. This is a rare opportunity to join a team where you will be well supported and involved in high quality, complex work.

Property work will make up around seventy per cent of the role and will focus on commercial and high value transactions and leasing. Intertwined with this will be complex trust work on behalf of high net worth individuals, developers, charities, and families.

The Role
You will work across a diverse range of matters including:
Acquisition, development and sale of residential and commercial properties
Due diligence, subdivisions, leasing, refinancing and design build lease arrangements
Trust establishment, administration and compliance
Drafting trust deeds, variations and resettlements
Advising on trustee duties and obligations, distribution of assets and succession planning

About You
Four plus years PQE with experience in property.
Exposure to trust work or a genuine interest in developing this area
Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
A forward thinking mindset with a commitment to building long term client relationships
