Job Title: Property Manager Primary Location: Nanaimo, BC Job Status: Full-Time, Permanent Company Overview: Pacific Cove Properties is a BC-owned and operated property management company providing rental accommodation to almost 3000 families and individuals in communities throughout British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan. Job Overview Pacific Cove Properties is hiring an experienced Property Manager to lead the care and performance of our properties, ensuring that they are well-maintained, safe, and attractive to tenants. This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, including rental apartments, houses, and townhouses, as well as overseeing the maintenance and repair of these properties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience in property management or a related field. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a portfolio of properties, ensuring that they are well-maintained, safe, and attractive to tenants; • Oversee the maintenance and repair of properties, including scheduling and coordinating work orders with contractors and vendors; • Develop and implement effective strategies for increasing occupancy rates and reducing vacancy periods; • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, property owners, and other stakeholders; • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies; • Manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring that expenses are tracked and reported accurately; • Collaborate with the Property Management team to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field; • 3-5 years of experience in property management or a related field; • Strong communication and organizational skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; • Familiarity with property management software and systems.
