Project Manager in Radio Communications for Singen and Freiburg

We are a company of almost sixty employees in Singen am Hohentwiel with locations in Freiburg and Markdorf. We install communication and security systems; that is, radio equipment, sirens, video surveillance, and much more. Our customers include fire departments, police, and rescue services. We also produce passenger guidance systems; these are those small devices that guests wear, for example, during museum tours.

Tasks

• In the morning, you open your laptop and get started with a variety of tasks: checking emails, processing customer inquiries, creating quotes, reviewing tenders, and calculating project costs.
• You are the primary point of contact for customers and support them from the initial inquiry to the completion of the project.
• What does the customer need, and what else can you recommend? To create optimal quotes, you will visit the customer and assess the on-site conditions.
• When the order comes in, you will handle the material and personnel planning, as well as the technical planning of the project. Our technicians will receive the execution plan from you, making it clear how and where everything should be installed.
• It is important to maintain an overview of our ongoing projects. These can sometimes be quite extensive and run for months.
• A portion of sales activities is also included. Customer retention and networking are paramount here. Customers must be approached and supported with professional competence and down-to-earthness at eye level.
• You will be the central point for all project threads, acting as the interface between the customer, technicians, and internal staff.

Qualifications

• You have a technical education (e.g., electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, technician, or master craftsman) or comparable practical experience – a university degree is not a must.
• Have you worked on a construction site before or collaborated with service technicians? These environments are often more pragmatic and flexible than pure industrial settings.
• We welcome your existing experience in project management with a technical focus – ideally from project business with changing customers and contact persons.

• Knowledge of MS Office and CRM/ERP systems would be great.
