Project Manager: Fire Protection Technology Fire Protection or Voice Alarm Systems, GR Potsdam, 85,000 - 110,000

For our customer, a standard-compliant, comprehensive fire alarm system is to be planned and implemented at the GR Potsdam company location for the production, warehouse and administrative buildings. The aim is to realize a legally compliant, technically reliable solution coordinated with authorities and the fire department.

The person sought will assume overall technical and organizational responsibility for the project. They will act as the central interface between internal contact persons, the installation company, external specialist companies, inspection institutions, authorities and the responsible fire department and ensure a coordinated and standard-compliant implementation.

Tasks

• Technical project management for the construction and commissioning of the required fire alarm systems.
• Creation, review and coordination of a fire alarm or alarm concept in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines in cooperation with the installation company.
• Planning review of documents created by external specialist planners or installation companies (e.g. detector concepts, cable routing, alarm logic, interfaces to other trades)
• Coordination and control of external service providers (e.g. installation companies for fire alarm systems, electrical installation companies, testing centers)
• Close coordination with authorities, fire protection departments and the local fire department, in particular regarding: Technical connection and connection conditions, fire department control panel, fire department route maps and other documents relevant to the deployment
• Ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines during planning, implementation and commissioning
• Preparation, organization and support of:
• Functional tests
• Commissioning
• Acceptance by experts and authorities
• Compilation and handover of the complete project documentation (e.g. test reports, operating and maintenance documents)

Qualification

• Several years of experience in project management or specialist planning of fire protection, fire alarm and/or voice alarm systems
• Very good knowledge of the relevant standards and regulations, in particular:
• DIN 14675 (Fire alarm and voice alarm systems – planning, construction, operation)
• DIN VDE 0833 (Alarm systems, in particular fire alarm systems and voice alarm systems)
• Relevant VdS guidelines (e.g. VdS 2095)
• Experience with planning review and evaluation of technical documents from external specialist companies
• Safe handling of connection conditions and technical connection conditions of the fire department
• Experience in the creation and testing of fire department route maps and documentation relevant to operations
