We are looking for a Junior Project Manager (w/m/d) for our location in Kassel. The position is full-time possible.

Your role at Alstom - What drives us
From Kassel, more than 35,000 locomotives have already been sent out into the world: at the traditional Alstom site in Kassel, besides building new services for the well-known Traxx locomotive platform, an increasingly important role is being played. The Rolling Stock & Components department offers products from the broadest portfolio of the railway industry. Our innovation focus lies on green and intelligent solutions, including emission-free drive systems such as batteries and hydrogen. In this role, you will report to Adrian Seoane Lamata and work in a motivated and engaged team.

Your tasks:

  • Main tasks lie in supporting a project manager and independently leading partial tasks of the project
  • Taking responsibility for the QCDP performance of the project and optimizing the financial performance of the project (Margin & Cash)
  • Defining the project strategy in line with contract requirements, including PMP preparation and target allocation to subsystems (Planning, Costs, Quality, Performance)
  • Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders from transfer to completion, including:
  • Proper handover of tender to project
  • Defining project goals and key drivers (Product/Service performance, Planning) to achieve customer satisfaction within the contract framework
  • Escalating if available project resources do not meet project requirements
  • Making sure that the most important project participants are aligned with the project/goals.
  • Integrating project teams into successful achievement of project goals and strengthening relationships among each other
  • Synchronizing internal partners and mediating when necessary
  • Adapting to contractual requirements and rebaselining Q, C, D, P on a project level
  • Maintaining compliance with applicable rules, instructions, and standards: Code of Conduct & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, Quality, Project Management Handbook

Your profile - What sets you apart
We are convinced that personal motivation makes the decisive difference. Your willingness to develop further and learn new things is crucial for us, even if you do not meet all the mentioned qualifications.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or business administration
  • Ready for first work experience in a similar field
  • Coordination skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Team management (ability to coordinate and ensure the cooperation of multi-site/multifunctional teams)
  • Result-oriented
  • Knowledge of railway products and systems
  • Negotiation skills
  • Mandatory knowledge of German and English

Our offer - What we have to offer
Mobility only knows one direction: sustainability. The rail industry offers long-term perspectives and the opportunity to continuously develop further and gain new experiences throughout your career.

  • A varied working day and an unlimited employment contract with the world market leader for intelligent and sustainable mobility.
  • Attractive remuneration (IG Metall), 30 days of holiday leave, company pension scheme, and mobility offers (including a contribution to the Germany ticket)
  • Traditional site with excellent public transportation connections, free parking options, flexible working hours, and regulations for mobile work
  • Individual and group development opportunities on professional, project, and leadership levels
  • Excellent further education opportunities through Alstom University and corporate idea management
  • A modern and collegiate working environment with mentoring and patron programs, diversity & inclusion, CSR activities, and employee events
  • Participation in Corporate Benefits

You don't have to be a rail expert: we value curious and innovative people who will shape the sustainable transportation revolution together with us. We are convinced that you will soon be proud to travel on Alstom trains. We look forward to starting our journey with you!
