Tasks

Your role

As Project Leader Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for leading and steering complex optimization, digitalization, and transformation projects at our customers. You will analyze existing business and IT processes, identify improvement potential, and develop sustainable solutions together with the departments, IT, and management. As a consultant, moderator, and project leader, you will understand the connection between operational workflows and ERP system landscapes and ensure that concepts become measurable successes, progress is transparently trackable, and changes are sustainably anchored.

Your tasks

• Leading and steering Operational Excellence and transformation projects
• Analyzing and evaluating business and IT processes along the entire value chain
• Identifying optimization, standardization, and automation potential
• Determining digital solution approaches and functional requirements for ERP-, MES- and adjacent IT systems in collaboration with departments and IT
• Developing and implementing measures to increase efficiency, quality, cost savings, and digital process support
• Taking into account data flows, interfaces, and system logics when designing efficient end-to-end processes
• Conducting workshops, process analyses, value stream designs, lean management training, audits, and KVP initiatives
• Planning and optimizing layouts, process descriptions, and material flows in production and logistics environments
• Advising our customers on the introduction of Lean Management and Operational Excellence methods
• Steering interdisciplinary project teams and coordinating internal and external stakeholders
• Accompanying change management processes and supporting organizational changes
• Preliminary preparation and conduct of steering committees, presentations for departments, executives, and boards
• Ensuring measurable project success through clear goal images, KPIs, and transparent progress tracking including status and management reports
• Conducting training and coaching to sustainably anchor new processes and methods

Qualification

You bring with you

• A successful degree in the field of economics, engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Multiple years of professional experience in project management, process management, or Operational Excellence
• Fundamental knowledge of Lean Management, KVP, Six Sigma, or similar methods
• Experience in analyzing, optimizing, and standardizing business and IT processes
• Safe handling of agile and classical project management methods
• Understanding of ERP systems, digital process modeling, data flows, and interfaces between departments and IT
• Excellent communication and consulting skills on all hierarchical levels
• Strong moderation, conflict resolution, and coaching skills to successfully accompany workshops, audits, and change processes
• Analytical thinking, strong IT- and ERP-affinity, and a structured and solution-oriented working style
• High self-initiative, organizational strength, and customer orientation
• Able to inspire people for changes and successfully accompany change processes
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills
• Optional: Certifications like Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP, PRINCE2 or Scrum
