Job description
Bring your experience in civil engineering to one of Berlin's most exciting infrastructure projects. For the reactivation of the Siemensbahn, we are looking for dedicated Project/Senior Site Managers who will actively shape modern mobility and sustainable infrastructure with us.
Tasks
- Overall responsibility for the execution of the major Siemensbahn project in Berlin – from technical control to successful project implementation
- Technical and operational management of complex civil engineering projects, including control of all project-related processes after order placement
- Ensuring project execution that is on time, to quality standards, and within budget
- Leading and coordinating project, construction, and planning meetings, as well as close coordination with clients, authorities, and all project stakeholders
- Managing and supervising site managers, subcontractors, and planning participants
- Tendering, awarding, and coordinating subcontractor services, as well as participating in execution planning
- Responsibility for cost control, claims management, performance billing, and contract management
- Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and occupational safety standards
- Representing the company towards clients, authorities, and subcontractors
Profile
- Completed degree in civil engineering or a comparable technical qualification
- At least 10 years of professional experience in a comparable operational role, ideally in civil engineering, infrastructure, or major project construction
- Sound knowledge of construction contract law (BGB and VOB/B) as well as contract and claims management
- Experience in leading and managing project and construction site teams
- Proficient user skills in MS Project, RIB iTWO, Arriba, or comparable software
- Strong technical understanding of complex construction processes, as well as a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and high decision-making competence
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness for future project assignments outside the hiring location of Berlin
