Project Manager / Construction Manager for Measurement, Control, and Automation (MSR) and Building Automation (m/f/d)
Job description
Is building automation more than just a control cabinet with flashing lights for you? Do you understand how MSR technology, DDC, commissioning, interfaces, and construction processes are interconnected – and do you want to take responsibility for projects where technology really needs to perform?
For an established medium-sized company in the field of technical building equipment, we are looking for an experienced personality for the MSR and building automation sector as part of direct placement. The company plans and implements technical building systems across multiple trades, combining electrical engineering, HVAC, MSR, and project implementation in a hands-on environment.
This position is ideal for people who not only know building automation theoretically but can also navigate it confidently in daily project work, on construction sites, and in coordination with clients, technicians, and subcontractors.
Tasks
You will take responsibility for ongoing construction projects in the area of MSR and building automation. You will manage and coordinate employees, subcontractors, materials, and processes, ensuring that quality, deadlines, and results align.
You will provide technical support for DDC programming, commissioning, and documentation, while also keeping an eye on the administrative side of projects. This includes technical planning, costing, invoicing, change order management, and monitoring construction site results.
You will work closely with adjacent areas of plant engineering, coordinate construction processes, and act as a point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders. Client contact and the further development of the department can also be part of your role.
In short: You will combine technology, organization, and leadership in an area that is becoming increasingly important for modern buildings.
Qualifications
You have completed a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a technical apprenticeship with further training as a master craftsman or technician.
Experience in MSR technology, building automation, DDC, central building management systems (GLT), or comparable systems is important, as is a good understanding of construction processes and project management. Knowledge of common standards, technical regulations, and costing principles is helpful.
Experience with specific system manufacturers is an advantage, but a single brand is not the deciding factor. More importantly, you fundamentally understand building automation, can explain technical interrelationships, and act in a structured, cost-conscious, and solution-oriented manner in daily project work.
You should have a confident demeanor, communicate clearly, and enjoy bringing together technical teams, clients, and project stakeholders.
Benefits
You will receive a permanent full-time position in a future-oriented technical environment with long-term prospects.
We offer attractive remuneration, 30 days of vacation, annual special payments depending on performance and company success, structured onboarding, and a company car. Private use can be discussed individually.
Further training is supported financially and with time off. Additionally, the company offers a company pension scheme, short decision-making processes, and an environment where MSR and building automation are not treated as a niche topic but as an important component of modern technical building equipment.
Then we look forward to receiving your application or an informal contact. Even if you have previously worked more in commissioning, system technology, or project technology and would like to develop towards construction management or project responsibility, a conversation is worthwhile.
