Project Engineer Battery Storage - Planning and Implementation (m/f/d)

moverloop is an emerging energy tech startup from Munich. We simplify access to locally generated green electricity for companies in rented and owned buildings.
The heart of our decentralized supply solutions are smart battery storage systems and our energy and billing management system. With these, we make the local energy transition economically scalable. Whether it's peak load capping, self-consumption optimization, tenant electricity, GGV, arbitrage, or marketing - we find the right solution for the project.
Tasks
- Create system concept: Storage capacity, inverter power, connection to existing PV and grid connection based on property documents
- Create the measurement concept and billing logic
- Grid connection: Coordination with the distribution system operator regarding grid connection, grid expansion, and measurement concept
- Installation planning: Structural analysis, ventilation and cooling, fire protection, clearances, accessibility
- Technical planning: Single-line diagram, protection and grounding concept, main distribution board, EZA & Co.
- Bill of quantities, tendering, and technical evaluation of the components to be installed
- Lead electricians and trades technically - you check what is actually being built
- Accompanying acceptance and commissioning with the grid operator and customer, revision documents, handover to operation, and fault analysis on ongoing systems
- Deadlines, budget, quality, and occupational safety across multiple projects in parallel
- Build a reusable solution from individual projects
Qualification
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable field of study.
- At least 5 years of in-depth professional experience in the planning and implementation of electrical engineering systems in the commercial or industrial environment (focus: battery storage, photovoltaics, low/medium voltage).
- Hands-on Track Record: You have already successfully realized storage projects, can plan yourself, and coordinate across trades.
- Routine in dealing with grid operators: Connection inquiries, certification, follow-up questions
- Willingness to travel to project sites
- German fluent in negotiation (C1)
