Job description

At Tion, we pursue the goal of accelerating the transition to a clean energy future and we are looking for people who will accompany us with passion on this exciting journey.

As a portfolio company of EQT, we invest in energy infrastructure and have a growing portfolio of 800+ MW of solar and wind projects. Together, we are working to become a leading platform for investments in energy transition projects. We are a dynamic, innovative team characterized by collaborative problem-solving, personal responsibility, passion, and integrity. We are now looking for a new team member to help shape the future of Tion in the field of renewable energies. Sounds exciting? Become a Tioneer.

As a Project Manager Cooperations & Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing renewable energy projects (wind, PV, and BESS) in Germany and neighboring countries with repowering, BESS hybridization, and revamping of our existing assets, as well as co-developments with partners – from screening and feasibility studies, through permitting, grid connection, and contract design, to construction readiness and into the construction phase in close collaboration with our Asset, Commercial, and Investment Management teams

  • Managing external project developers, co-development partners, and consultants (technical, legal, grid, environmental) – including scope of work, timelines, gate reviews, as well as development budgets and their milestone-based release

  • Leading feasibility studies, contract negotiations (e.g., lease, grid connection, option, and co-development agreements), financial modeling, and due diligence processes

  • Active stakeholder management with landowners, municipalities, permitting authorities, grid operators, consultants, and development partners

  • Monitoring market, regulatory, and technological developments and translating them into project strategy and risk assessment

  • Preparing and presenting decision proposals, investment cases, and project updates for senior management, the investment committee, and executive leadership

PLEASE HAND IN YOUR APPLICATION DOCUMENTS IN ENGLISH ONLY

What you bring to the table:

  • At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, ideally across technologies (BESS, Wind, Photovoltaics) and including repowering or hybridization of existing assets

  • Passion for the energy transition, a high degree of personal responsibility and ownership, as well as an entrepreneurial and team-oriented mindset

  • Hands-on mentality and negotiation skills: You are as comfortable on-site and at the negotiation table with landowners, authorities, grid operators, and partners as you are in Excel and PowerPoint

  • A solid understanding of project finance and investment logic (business cases, IRR drivers, bankability) as well as confident handling of financial models

  • In-depth knowledge of the German renewable energy market, ideally complemented by knowledge of neighboring markets (Poland, France, Netherlands); experience with grid connection and permitting procedures (BImSchG, BauGB) is a plus

  • A completed university degree in engineering, business administration, energy management, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on renewable energies

  • Fluent German and English skills (at least C1); Polish, French, or Dutch language skills are a plus

What we offer you:

  • A dedicated and international team with flat hierarchies and high professional standards in collaboration

  • Interdisciplinary challenges and a high degree of independence

  • Attractive corporate benefits, including free snacks and drinks, as well as vouchers for sustainable brands

  • A subsidy for health and sports memberships with Wellpass

  • A modern office in Munich with a hybrid work model and flexible working hours

  • A dynamic work environment
