Project Engineer (m/w/d) Plant Planning in Mannheim (1673)

Your career in technical project management of production.

In this position, you actively shape the further development of industrial production processes. You take responsibility for technical projects in plant construction and contribute to designing plants, workflows, and manufacturing structures efficiently, economically, and sustainably.

Tasks

• Project Planning: Planning, coordination, and implementation of technical projects in the production environment according to internal project standards.
• Project Management: Creation of structured project plans, status reports, and presentations as well as moderation of regular meetings with internal stakeholders.
• Techical Evaluation: Selection and evaluation of machines, tools, and plants considering technical and economic criteria.
• Interface Management: Close cooperation with preparation, quality, logistics, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure a smooth project progress.
• Supplier Coordination: Steering external service providers as well as internal departments including term, budget, and quality control.
• Commissioning: Accompaniment and supervision of the introduction of new plants and technologies into production.
• Process Optimization: Analysis of existing manufacturing processes, identification of potential for improvement, and leadership of workshops for sustainable efficiency enhancement.

Qualification

• Qualification: Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, production technology, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Experience: Several years of practice in project management or engineering – ideally in an industrial production environment.
• Techical Understanding: Fundamental knowledge of production plants, manufacturing processes, and technical relationships.
• Work Style: Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach with a strong organizational strength.
• Communication: Assertiveness as well as secure communication in German and English (at least B2 level).
• IT Competence: Secure handling of MS Office as well as ideally experience with ERP or MES systems.
