Our BESS projects go through many phases – from Development and Investment Decision through Procurement and Construction to Commissioning and Handover to Operations. As a Project Controller, you are the end-to-end financial interface between Finance and the project organization. You translate contracts, schedules, and operational developments into robust budgets, cash flows, and forecasts, thereby creating the transparency that project management, the CFO, and management need for quick decisions.

Your Responsibilities

• You are the central financial contact person for our projects and the connecting interface between Finance and project execution.
• You are responsible for project-specific budget, cost, and liquidity planning and update it throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• You analyze project contracts and schedules in detail and translate payment and performance milestones into robust cash flow and forecast planning.
• At the project level, you monitor project costs, Capex, cash flow, and forecasts. Using appropriate POC and Cost-to-Complete logics, you ensure economic transparency over the entire lifecycle.
• You prepare deviation analyses for variance analyses (actual vs. plan) in a decision-oriented manner and derive concrete recommendations for action for project management and the executive team.
• You support project teams with business cases, investment decisions, change orders, and other economic assessments.
• You ensure consistent end-to-end project management in close collaboration with Development, Delivery, Procurement, Commercial, and Finance.
• You prepare financial decision documents for project gates, FID, financing processes, and handovers and accompany the relevant coordination meetings.
• You further develop project controlling standards, reports, and processes, thereby improving transparency, controllability, and economic efficiency.

Your Profile

• You have completed a degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• You have several years of professional experience in project controlling in a project-driven, capital-intensive environment; energy, infrastructure, plant construction, or construction are particularly relevant.
• You are familiar with the commercial management of complex projects throughout their end-to-end lifecycle – from development and investment decision through execution and commissioning to handover.
• You can economically assess contracts, schedules, payment milestones, and change orders and confidently translate them into budgets, POC and Cost-to-Complete logics, cash flows, and forecasts.
• You understand the impact of project progress on the P&L, balance sheet, liquidity, and business case, and can identify risks and deviations early on.
• You have expert-level proficiency in Excel; you work in a structured and confident manner with ERP, project management, and reporting systems.
• You combine analytical depth with ownership, clear communication, and a pronounced hands-on mentality, and act as a reliable business partner to project management and executive leadership.
• You are fluent in German and have a very good command of English, both written and spoken. For close collaboration with project teams, you are regularly present at our site in Aschheim near Munich.
