Projectmanager

For University of Amsterdam we are looking for a Projectmanager. They offer a dynamic environment at two leading institutions for higher education and research: University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA), with one shared service Facility Services.

You will work within Facility Services, where over 300 colleagues are working together to ensure that teachers, students, researchers, and other employees can perform their work optimally. Your input directly contributes to making education and research possible, from accessible buildings to well-functioning facilities.

You will be working on an important project based on earlier savings achieved by adjusting opening hours at HvA. You will now investigate the same possibilities for UvA, which requires analyzing data and conducting intense conversations with various parts of the organization.

In this role you gather information, conduct conversations with diverse stakeholders, and translate bottlenecks into creative solutions. You communicate solution-oriented and with persuasive power, taking into account the impact on both facility services and education and research. You ensure overview in a complex organization and are able to quickly switch between different processes, subjects, and levels.

You contribute to developing proposals that can be rolled out after testing, with the goal of realizing the first savings shortly. Here you take into account the various faculties and locations of UvA and ensure that solutions fit in with the way of working at HvA, so that service delivery for both organizations remains suitable.

Hybrid work is possible. At the same time, you also organize meetings on location, spread across the city center, Roeterseiland, Science Park, and the head office in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.

Your profile

• You have extensive experience as a project manager, preferably in a complex organization with many different stakeholders.
• You are strong in communication at various levels.
• You are creative and solution-oriented, and can translate bottlenecks into practical solutions.
• You work structured and easily keep overview in complex projects.
• You can quickly switch between different locations and organizational parts.
• You are proactive, flexible, and think in opportunities.
