Project Leader

Your role as Project Leader at the Royal Netherlands Air Force
As Project Leader, you will direct projects that contribute to the future of Defense. You are responsible for the successful realization of projects by effectively deploying people, resources, and budgets. You monitor the quality, progress, and coherence of the project and ensure good cooperation within the team. Through clear communication, structure, and leadership, you can support and motivate employees.

During the various project phases, you will carefully prepare decision-making and provide the necessary management and control information. You will analyze developments, information, and relevant context and translate these into concrete results, feasibility, and critical success factors. Based on this, you will provide advice and contribute to well-founded choices.

You will prepare the project assignment, determine the frameworks and scope, and translate the need into a clear program of requirements with associated preconditions. You will pay attention to both the substantive objectives and the practical feasibility of the project.

An important part of your role is connecting stakeholders. You will ensure that involved parties remain informed, engaged, and motivated throughout the entire process. Even when challenges or resistance arise, you know how to bring parties together and collectively search for solutions to achieve the desired result.

With your efforts, you contribute to the operational strength of Defense, now and in the future. As Project Leader, you will work on projects that ensure the armed forces can continue to perform their important task: protecting the Netherlands and contributing to peace and security.

• You hold an HBO/WO diploma and have completed a project management training course, such as PRINCE2 and/or IPMA;
• You have 2 to 4 years of experience and knowledge in the field of project management and relevant methodologies;
• As a Project Leader, you are communicatively skilled to communicate at different levels, you succeed in clearly defining objectives, and in drawing up a realistic schedule and budget.
• You recognize yourself in competencies such as eagerness to learn, results-oriented, and teamwork.
