Project Leader

As a project leader, you will take on renovation and follow-up projects throughout Belgium and ensure that each file runs smoothly from start to completion. You will build enough independence to manage several smaller projects simultaneously. You are a strong deep thinker with a practical mindset, someone who quickly grasps the overview and can make decisions based on common sense.

Your daily tasks include:

• Following up projects and files from A to Z, with a focus on quality, timing, and progress.
• Drawing up and monitoring the schedule, including coordination between different interventions and teams.
• Providing materials and resources and, where necessary, preparing or following up on orders yourself.
• Correctly mapping and administratively processing hours, consumption, and materials.
• Drawing up purchase orders and entering them into the correct system.
• Clearly communicating site and file information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Contributing ideas on the practical approach to various files such as maintenance, fire damage, leak detection, and damage to homes.
• Working independently from the Ghent region in the long term, with sufficient support in the initial phase.

You start in a role where site management is central, with room to grow into broader project management. It is a varied role with projects of different sizes, often within renovation contexts, where your overview, reasoning skills, and drive truly make a difference.

For this position, our client is looking for someone with a solid foundation in site or project follow-up and, above all, a strong desire to grow further. Experience weighs more heavily than a diploma, although a relevant education is increasingly valued. You don't need to be an expert in purchasing, but you must work precisely, practically, and with strong organizational skills.

Your profile:

• Initial experience in a similar role, for example as a site manager, project follower, or technical coordinator.
• You can manage files, schedules, and follow-up from A to Z.
• You think logically, maintain an overview, and switch quickly between different tasks.
• You have a hands-on attitude and dare to take initiative where necessary.
• You are administratively accurate enough to correctly follow up on hours, materials, and purchase orders.
• You communicate fluently and enjoy working with colleagues, partners, and execution teams.
• You preferably live in or around Ghent, or you want to actively establish yourself in that region.
• Experience with leak detection, renovation projects, or damage files is a plus.
• An education in construction, technology, or a related field is a nice bonus, but not an absolute must.
