Construction Project Manager

As a project manager in the construction sector, you are responsible for the following tasks:

• You are responsible for the complete realization of construction projects from A to Z.
• You are the driving force behind successful project progress.
• You are the point of contact for the entire construction team (client, designer, engineering firm, site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers,...).
• You are responsible for multiple projects.
• You prepare and coordinate the schedule and site progress.
• You monitor the financial overview and prepare progress reports.
• You manage the team of own workers and subcontractors.
• You are responsible for safety, quality, and budget.
• You conclude contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• You conduct regular site visits.
• You lead site meetings with the client, architect, engineering firm,...
• You report directly to management.

As a project manager, you largely meet the following requirements:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a construction-related field or are equivalent through experience.
• You already have initial experience in a construction-related, leadership role.
• Experience with public procurement is a plus.
• You can work independently and enjoy taking responsibility.
• You have a passion for the construction sector.
• You possess strong people management skills.
• You are capable of organizing and monitoring complex construction projects effectively.
• You have good technical insight.
• You have a communicative/commercial attitude.
• You speak Dutch very well. A good command of English and French is useful.
• You possess a B driving license.

Our client is a Class 8 construction company that has been in existence for over 35 years. They primarily work for the private B2B market as well as for the public sector. They specialize in utility, industrial, and office construction. Their construction sites are mainly located in the triangle of Antwerp, Brussels, and the Coast. They have about 100 own employees and are currently looking for a Project Manager due to growth.
