Make it possible

As a Project Leader, you are responsible for the organization and realization of multiple projects in both the design and execution phases (average of 2 to 7 projects). You work closely with colleagues in work preparation, engineering, and execution, and you lead a multidisciplinary project team. You are involved in the project from the start. You contribute your expertise, identify risks in a timely manner, and ensure that all necessary documents, permits, and drawings are available. You actively maintain contact with the client and understand their interests like no other. Thanks to your knowledge of LEAN working, you know how to stimulate your team to operate smartly, efficiently, and customer-focused.

Your most important responsibilities:

• You lead the project team of work planners, engineers, supervisors, and suppliers, and maintain contact with clients, stakeholders, and partners;
• You manage the design and preparation team and ensure that all documents and items are available on time;
• You are an ambassador for safety within all projects;
• You monitor the finances of your projects and report to the client and the internal organization;
• You prepare schedules, have them elaborated, monitor them, and ensure timely communication to all involved parties;
• You continuously encourage your team to improve processes and implement sustainable optimizations.

Your team

At BAM Bouw en Techniek Gebouwservices, we maintain and manage real estate and ensure a safe building for all users. We focus on multi-year performance-oriented collaborations with clients who, through integrated projects, aim to optimally maintain the technical lifespan of buildings. In doing so, we focus on sustainability, technological services, and continuously seek opportunities that improve the experience and use.

You will work at a fixed location for a high-end client with all technical disciplines present. You manage a diverse team, and together with your team, you ensure continuity, quality, and a pleasant working environment for everyone on location.
Your permanent workplace is Utrecht, with occasional work at other locations.

• A salary between € 5,000 and € 6,500 per four weeks, depending on your knowledge and experience. This is based on a 40-hour work week and excludes 8% vacation pay;

You recognize yourself in this

As a coaching leader, you can communicate and collaborate well at various levels, from client and co-maker to your own team. You know who to involve and when, you are connecting, and you keep an eye on time, budget, and quality in broad terms to ensure projects are successful.

In addition, you have:

• A minimum of HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level with a relevant education in, for example, technology or construction management;
• Experience with projects in the management and maintenance of utility buildings;
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a comparable role as project manager/project leader;
• Demonstrable leadership qualities;
• Practical experience in realizing utility projects up to approximately 10 million;
• A very cooperative attitude towards clients and cross-project partners;
• Passion for utility buildings and collaborating with various parties, such as subcontractors;
