Project Safety Advisor / HSE-Advisor

What is your place in the organization?
You will be part of the BESIX Nederland team within the Business Unit Europa. You will report to the QHSE manager at company level and to the project manager at project level. As a fixed member of a project team, your task package will largely be at project level.

Purpose of the function?
Your goal is to raise the safety awareness of the organization and enthuse others to continuously improve it together. As a project safety advisor/HSE-advisor, you are an important member of a project team for the realization of a project and responsible for:

• supporting the project manager in rolling out the Safety Culture Program;
• BESIX Nederland and its safety management system;
• preparing risk analyses, checking and setting up project-specific safety plans/TRA's and procedures;
• testing compliance with HSE plans and conducting HSE inspections and coordinating these at the project level;
• conducting accident/incident investigations, making trend analyses including advising on how these can be prevented in the future;
• attending project meetings and maintaining contact with clients, inspection SZW and other stakeholders;
• developing, maintaining and disseminating HSE knowledge within the project and BESIX Nederland;
• co-authoring and guiding HSE campaigns, including raising safety awareness;
• participating in the periodic HSE work meeting with colleague HSE advisors at BESIX Nederland.
