What we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced PQE to support a large multidisciplinary project for a green hydrogen process plant, which includes the expansion and development of infrastructure in remote areas, supporting facilities, and related infrastructure. The position requires strong leadership roles in quality assurance and quality control during the engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
This role is suitable for candidates with proven experience in quality management at complex infrastructure projects, including work related to camp installations, utility companies, civil engineering works, modular buildings, and MEP systems.
Tasks
- Establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the project quality management system in accordance with project requirements, contractual obligations, and relevant international standards
- Preparation and maintenance of the project quality plan, ITPs, and related QA/QC procedures tailored to an infrastructure and residential development project on a remote site
- Leadership of quality surveillance for construction activities in the following areas: modular or pre-fabricated process plants and steel constructions, electrical and mechanical systems
- Maintenance and updating of material testing records, traceability protocols, and quality documentation to support project development and compliance with legal regulations
- Management of QA/QC topics in various disciplines during the construction phase, installation, commissioning, and operation
- Monitoring of supplier performance and audits, including document reviews, inspections, FAT/SAT, and conformity assessments
- Ensuring proper quality control for incoming goods, storage, conservation, installation, and testing of materials.
- Coordinating quality documentation for system completion, handover packages, acceptance, and operational readiness
- Implementing and managing systems for non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive measures
- Preparing regular reports on quality performance and KPIs to ensure compliance with project management requirements
- Effective implementation and coordination of supplier evaluations and inspection activities
- Supporting initiatives for continuous improvement through contributions to gained insights, process optimization, and knowledge exchange between projects
- Conducting inspections and verifications of packaging units and equipment to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Conducting detailed inspections at various project phases, including incoming goods, storage, production, and installation, to ensure traceability and compliance with quality control procedures
- Participation in supplier and subcontractor audits as needed to verify compliance with ITM's quality management systems and customer expectations
Requirements
- Degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field
- Extensive experience in material testing in the fields of construction, energy, chemistry, or raw materials, with fundamental knowledge of QA/QC methods and documentation practices
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, material specifications, standards, and norms applicable to construction and production
- Fundamental knowledge of inspection techniques, sampling methods, and quality control principles for metallic and non-metallic materials
- Familiarity with industrial standards and specifications like ASME, ASTM, API or equivalent norms
- Proficiency in handling inspection tools, documentation systems, and data management software to support efficient and accurate documentation
- Able to develop, update, and maintain internal technical standards and specifications
- Familiarity with the ISO 9000 and 14000 series of standards as well as international norms relevant to the oil and gas industry
- Outstanding attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and compliance
- Effective communication and cooperation skills with the ability to work constructively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate with suppliers and customers
- Fluent German and English language skills in writing and speaking
