Job description

Help great projects run brilliantly.

ABOUT TRA

TRA is a leading insights agency. We practice the art of knowing people—combining behavioural science, data and creativity to deliver work that drives real impact for our clients.

Behind every great piece of insight is strong project delivery. That’s where this role comes in.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Project Operations Coordinator to support the smooth execution of customer projects across TRA. This is a fixed term (parental leave cover) role for four days/week until the end of July 2026.

This role exists to bring structure, visibility and momentum to project delivery—ensuring the right resources are in place, milestones are tracked, budgets are monitored, and projects are set up and closed down properly. You’ll be a key connector between teams, systems and processes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support project initiation and closure, ensuring documentation and processes are in place
  • Track key milestones and maintain clear visibility across projects
  • Create and manage resource plans so teams are set up for success
  • Monitor project budgets and flag risks early
  • Keep internal systems accurate and up to date with project and resource data
  • Support project operations leads with day-to-day operational needs
  • Identify and implement smarter ways of working to improve efficiency

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confidence working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with a range of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook); Power Automate is a bonus
  • Experience in project coordination, operations or delivery support (contracting or procurement experience is a plus)
  • You must have the right to work in New Zealand.

You enjoy building systems that work, spotting issues before they become problems, and helping others do their best work.

Benefits

WHY TRA

  • Play a critical role in enabling high-quality client delivery
  • Work with smart, collaborative people who value rigour and curiosity
  • Have real impact through improving systems and processes
  • Be part of an inclusive, supportive and growing agency

If you’re motivated by operational excellence and enjoy being the person who keeps everything running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you. Please outline in your letter why you should be considered for this role and your salary expectation.
