Description of the post

As a project manager of construction, you will contribute to the success of Laura by supervising and managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, including new store constructions and renovations. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards, collaborating closely with internal teams, contractors, architects, and suppliers.

How will you support the team?

  • Supervise multiple construction projects simultaneously, including new store constructions and renovations, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards for Laura and Melanie Lyne concepts.
  • Create and maintain detailed project calendars in collaboration with the main project manager and key stakeholders, adapting as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Establish preliminary annual budgets for capital expenditures (CAPEX) and manage project finances from start to finish. Closely monitor expenses and negotiate with general contractors to achieve profitable results.

  • Issue and manage purchase orders for construction materials, displays, equipment, and services, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
  • Regularly conduct site visits to track progress and resolve issues as they arise on-site.
  • Maintain open and constant communication with internal services, locators, suppliers, and other stakeholders by providing timely updates on project deadlines, risks, and major developments. Identify, evaluate, and proactively manage project risks by implementing effective mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on schedules, budgets, and quality.
  • Oversee the delivery of permits and ensure total compliance with local building codes, including final inspections, obtaining occupancy permits, documenting project closure, preparing defect lists, and managing key handovers.
