Enable New Zealand is a Crown-owned entity on a mission; to support disabled people and their whānau to live everyday lives in their communities. We do this by effectively managing access to equipment, modifications and information services for disabled people and their whānau on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) – Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).


With our head office centrally located in Palmerston North, we deliver services to thousands of New Zealanders each year as Aotearoa's largest disability equipment provider.

We have a full-time, one-year fixed term opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our busy Innovation and Technology team to scope, manage and deliver project outcomes for Enable New Zealand Limited.

The Project Manager role leads the charge on key projects within Enable New Zealand's ambitious programme of work. Working closely with our business IT team members, project teams, managers and leads, the Project Manager will manage the planning and delivery of projects within the allocated budget, time, and scope.

We are looking for someone with proven experience managing time-specific projects from pre-project planning through to delivery. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Project management certification.
  • Three years' (minimum) experience working in projects and familiarity with SDLC, Prince2 waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent relationship management skills (internal and external).
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and project management and reporting tools.
  • Brilliant time management skills and the ability to demonstrate a customer-centred approach by ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to clearly define vendor and Enable New Zealand responsibilities.
  • The ability to initiate investigation of alternative technical solutions.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to drive tasks through to completion.
  • The ability to successfully handle overlapping deadlines and multiple projects.
