Project Manager IT

Sync Lab is an IT consulting company that has been operating nationally as a System Integrator in the Information Technology sector since 2002. It primarily addresses large accounts in various markets, including Telco, Energy, Finance, Insurance, and Utilities, and with its 6 offices (Naples, Rome, Padua, Milan, Como, and Verona), it is present throughout the national territory. Within its organization, it also includes R&D laboratories and structures that design and develop innovative solutions for clients and markets and participate in national and European projects. With a workforce of over 300 people, we are constantly seeking young talents and established professionals who wish to join an ambitious, entirely Italian reality.
With the aim of strengthening our Consulting division's workforce, we are looking for a:
Project Manager with at least 4 years of experience
Role and responsibilities:
The resource will be involved in the management and governance of projects in the Cyber Security field, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance paths and security framework implementation, supporting enterprise clients in structured and complex contexts. Specifically, they will be responsible for:
• Coordinating and monitoring Cyber Security projects in the Governance, Risk & Compliance area; • Managing project activities related to NIS2 compliance and ISO 27001 standard implementation/maintenance; • Planning activities, managing project milestones (SAL), interacting with stakeholders, and monitoring project KPIs; • Supporting the definition of cybersecurity policies, processes, and controls; • Acting as a coordination point between technical teams, business functions, and management; • Supporting risk assessment and remediation planning activities; • Producing project documentation and directional reporting (actionable briefing).
Required skills:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Economics, Management Engineering, or Organization/Intelligence Sciences with a technological focus.
Experience: At least 4 years of experience in Project Management roles within the Cyber Security field.
Security Standards: In-depth knowledge of the main international security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and the mandatory requirements related to the NIS2 Directive.
Project Management: Strong skills in project planning, stakeholder management, and KPI monitoring in enterprise or consulting contexts.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills, and a problem-solving attitude.
Nice to have:
Possession of certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master) or Cyber Security Governance (e.g., CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer).
Company office locations: Rome (with hybrid working arrangements).
