Job description
FAN COURIER, the market leader in courier services in Romania, is looking for a Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the design, structuring, planning, coordination, and implementation of defined projects, respecting the established deadline, scope, budget, and success indicators;
· Coordinates cross-functional projects, collaborating with stakeholders from business, operations, commercial, finance, technical, and other support areas, to ensure alignment and coherent implementation;
· Manages stakeholders, provides them with consultancy, and familiarizes them with relevant company, industry, and project management standards and best practices, constantly analyzing changes in requirements and business needs, and proposing improvement opportunities;
· Manages decision-making processes (e.g., STC, Tollgates, including related preparations), ensuring adherence to processes, quality of project presentation, compliance with project management standards, and integration of necessary information from involved parties;
· Ensures appropriate communication and improves project/program status reporting, in accordance with internal rules, established KPIs, and stakeholder needs;
· Contributes to the clarification, collection, and structuring of project specifications / business requirements, including initiatives with an impact on processes, services, customer experience, and internal or external systems;
· Actively monitors risks, roadblocks, dependencies, and the impact of changes on the projects under coordination, and proposes mitigation or escalation measures when necessary;
· Leads the procurement strategy and its implementation for complex and large-scale projects, in alignment with the Procurement, Legal departments, and supplier management;
· Contributes to defining project success evaluation indicators, monitoring progress, consolidating lessons learned, and identifying process optimization opportunities;
· Leads a team of specialists from different business areas for the implementation of project activities and collaborates closely, at a tactical level, with the project sponsor/client.
Desired Profile:
· University studies: IT&C, Cybernetics, Project Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields;
· Relevant professional experience in Project Management: over 5 years;
· Extensive experience in project/program management, ideally with multidisciplinary teams and initiatives involving multiple departments, processes, and systems;
· Very good understanding of processes, concepts, risks, and performance indicators (KPIs), as well as the ability to correlate business needs with operational and technological impact;
· Advanced knowledge and skills in various project management methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile etc.);
· Advanced communication, negotiation, and interaction skills; strong decision-making capacity; good presentation and stakeholder alignment facilitation skills with different perspectives;
· Experience in projects with an operational, digital, or service transformation component is an advantage, including projects that touch upon delivery flows, point/locker networks, self-service channels, or service architectures;
· Analytical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving orientation;
· Knowledge of Change Management and excellent stakeholder management skills;
· Excellent PC operating skills, MS Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
· English language knowledge – advanced level;
· Ability to function effectively under pressure and in an environment with multiple priorities.
