Project Manager

Job description

An important global manufacturing company seeks a Project Manager to lead strategic projects, ensuring compliance with scope, time, cost, and quality.


Purpose of the Position

Responsible for the planning, execution, control, and closing of projects related to the manufacturing of pumping equipment, ensuring they are delivered within the defined scope, budget, time, and quality standards.

The position requires strategic leadership, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and efficient resource management to meet organizational objectives.


Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of pumping equipment manufacturing projects.
  • Define project scope, necessary resources, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop and manage timelines, identifying risks and establishing mitigation plans.
  • Oversee project quality and compliance with applicable technical specifications and regulations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, production, documentation, product line, etc.).
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal areas, clients, and suppliers.
  • Manage and allocate human, material, and technological resources according to project needs.
  • Present periodic reports on progress, risks, costs, and results to senior management.


Authority and Decision Making.


  • Create and manage detailed project schedules using management tools (e.g., Gantt, MS Projects).
  • Make decisions related to project planning, prioritization, and tracking.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients to ensure expectations are met.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mandatory).
  • Master's degree / MBA (desirable).
  • Languages: Native Spanish, advanced conversational English.
  • Ability to work in García, NL.


Experience and Knowledge


  • Minimum 5 years in project management, preferably in the metalworking or pumping equipment industry.
  • Experience working directly with OEMs.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMI, Agile).
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations: ASME, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ASME B31.3.
  • Management of budgets, costs, risks, and resources.
