Project manager
Job description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring that all aspects of the infrastructure offering are implemented, integrated, and delivered in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This position requires a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, management, and influence to successfully achieve project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and relevant industry regulations. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills are essential for navigating complex project challenges.
Accountabilities of the role;
- Establish and maintain client relationships
- Effectively lead and manage projects in accordance with safety, quality, cost and timelines, to ensure outcomes are achieved in accordance with the clients' requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with site personnel, sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring professional and cooperative relationships are maintained.
- Maximise project profitability and assume overall accountability for the delivery of the projects.
- Take ownership of budgets, programming and contract management, and the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment.
- Proactively identify and provide considered advice and recommendations to the Construction Managers on issues arising from and impacting the project, as well as maintaining and fostering relationships and contracts.
Tasks and Responsibilities;
- Organise tradespeople and subcontractors
- Cooperate with customers with updates and project timelines.
- Motivate and support the field team by providing leadership and expert knowledge
- Assist and monitor the progression of up and coming apprentices through the life cycle of their apprenticeship
- Provide field staff with project job updates
- Manage projects from start to finish efficiently
- Take ownership and responsibility of projects
- Support and work alongside Mechanical Estimator and Manager
- Make conscious decisions in regards to health and safety on site
