Project Leader - Quantitative Research (m/w/d) Analytics

We are looking for a Project Leader - Quantitative Research (m/w/d) in Hamburg.

Our client is a top-tier service company that combines cutting-edge quantitative consumer research with strategic interpretation at the highest level. The company primarily works with strategy consulting firms, investors, and selected corporate clients who place high value on the quality of insights and decision relevance – not just speed or cost.

The team consists of 15 employees who work without rigid hierarchies or silos. Expertise and self-initiative define leadership qualities and responsibility. The work includes segmentation, conjoint-based pricing, brand tracking, U&A studies, market size determination, and tailored methods – often with individual and customized adaptations for the demanding clients.

Aufgaben

• Leadership of complex, cross-market quantitative research projects from start to finish – from design through analysis to presentation – using various methods, including segmentation, conjoint analysis, U&A, brand tracking, market size determination, etc.
• Leadership of quantitative research projects from the briefing phase to delivery – with responsibility for timelines, quality, and communication with clients
• Design of questionnaires, definition of sampling approaches, and ensuring methodological correctness - as needed with guidance, but with increasing independence
• Analysis of survey data and translation of results into clear, convincing stories that drive client decisions
• Direct collaboration with clients: Understanding the actual inquiry, managing expectations, and presenting results convincingly
• Collaboration with experienced colleagues in complex projects - using various applications and advanced methods like segmentation and conjoint
• Development of a professional toolset – not just technical research competencies, but structured thinking, customer management, and discipline that distinguishes high-quality work

Qualifikation

• 3-5 years of experience in quantitative market research
• Practical experience in leading research projects – not just supporting them
• Experience with tailored ad-hoc research (not just standardized tracking or product tests)
• First project experience with segmentation and/or conjoint analysis
• Preference for a background in an agency, institute, or consulting firm
• Fundamental understanding of survey design and questionnaire development
• Experience working with survey data in SPSS, Q, R, or similar tools
• Able to create concise presentations that tell a data-based story
• Safe handling of Excel for data processing and analysis
• Familiarity with a variety of methodologies, such as segmentation, conjoint, U&A, brand tracking, concept tests
• Ideal experience with price research or market size analysis, as well as familiarity with tools for data visualization (Tableau, Power BI)
• Interest in how AI/LLMs are changing the research workflows
