Job description

This position is at Wiseglow srl. Wiseglow srl is the Italian branch of Thundersoft.


Main Responsibilities

  1. Coordination and follow-up of the grid connection process
  2. Assist in the formulation and optimization of grid connection plans for photovoltaic power plant projects;
  3. Prepare materials for grid connection application, technical documentation, and relevant files in compliance with the requirements of the local grid company/distribution network operator;
  4. Monitor the progress of grid connection approval, maintain daily communication with grid companies, and facilitate the timely grid connection authorization of the project.
  5. Technical Documentation and Solution Support
  6. Participate in technical discussions related to primary and secondary grid connection solutions under the guidance of senior engineers;
  7. Verify the compliance of critical technical parameters, including system capacity, protection schemes, and metering arrangements, with regulatory standards;
  8. Assist in collecting and organizing field measurement data, equipment technical documentation, and related certification records.
  9. Project Implementation and Site Coordination
  10. During project execution, collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that the configuration of grid connection equipment (inverters, substation transformers, metering cabinets, etc.) complies with grid requirements;
  11. Participate in organizing or supporting site surveys, acceptance inspections, and testing operations by grid companies;
  12. Document on-site issues, monitor rectification and closure, and promptly report to the project manager.
  13. Document Management and Compliance Implementation
  14. Maintain and update standard documents, templates, and records related to grid connection procedures;
  15. Ensure full compliance with local regulations, technical standards, and internal company procedures throughout the grid connection process;
  16. Assist in organizing project archive materials to support subsequent operations, maintenance, and audits.
  17. Interdepartmental Communication
  18. Maintain effective communication with design, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to synchronize information on grid connection milestones;
  19. Support the project manager in reporting progress and coordinating grid connection-related matters.


Position Requirements

  1. Education and Professional Background
  2. Bachelor's degree or higher;
  3. Degree disciplines: New Energy Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Energy and Power System Engineering, Renewable Energy related fields.
  4. Graduates or candidates with 1-3 years of industry experience are welcome.


Industry and Knowledge Requirements

  1. Interest in the new energy and photovoltaic sectors; preference for candidates with internship or project experience in photovoltaic power plants, distribution networks/power grids;
  2. Understanding of the fundamental principles of power systems and the basics of grid connection, with preliminary knowledge of grid connection standards being preferable;
  3. Proficiency in using AutoCAD, drawing electrical diagrams, and common office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


Language and Communication Skills

  1. Excellent communication skills in Italian for daily interactions with local grid companies and partners;
  2. Basic written English proficiency is preferred (for technical manuals, international standards, etc.);
  3. Clear communication and expression with a collaborative spirit.


General Qualities

  1. Diligent and meticulous work ethic with a sense of responsibility, commitment to the long-term development of solar renewable energy integration into the grid;
  2. Strong learning aptitude, openness to acquiring new knowledge and standards, ability to integrate quickly under guidance;
  3. Willingness to travel for work and perform on-site activities (primarily in Ancona and surrounding areas).
