Project Engineer Mechanical Engineering
Job description
What will you do:
Responsible for the complete mechanical engineering design of water-related installations. Designing installations for industrial clients, water boards, and drinking water companies, such as process water, demineralized water, ultra-pure water, water treatment, and drinking water supply. Translating client wishes into concept, basic, and detailed designs. Ensuring a final design that meets wishes and requirements, with attention to safety, sustainability, feasibility, maintenance, and project control (costs, quality, and time). Leading and coaching a team of engineers and modelers. Ensuring an engineering package that is ready for execution ("construction driven engineering"). Consulting with the client, the executing project manager, and other stakeholders about status and adjustments.
What we offer:
Salary between € 4,717 and € 6,738 gross per month based on 40 hours. Holiday pay 8%. Direct contract for an indefinite period. Travel expenses reimbursement. About the company:
The client contributes to the sustainable water management of the Netherlands and designs, builds, and maintains drinking and wastewater projects for various clients in the southern Netherlands. The company has approximately 5,000 colleagues spread across 32 locations throughout the Netherlands and works on the energy, digital, and industrial transition. Requirements:
A diploma at a minimum of Bachelor's degree level in mechanical engineering. Experience as a project engineer within mechanical engineering. Experience with water-related projects. Ability to work in a team. Leadership skills to coach and guide the team in engineering processes. Good advisory skills to convince stakeholders of choices made. Good communication skills. Proficiency in the Dutch language at a minimum B2 level.
