Job description
ConsultANZ is seeking a Project Engineer – Environmental Compliance to join a complex civil infrastructure project in New Zealand. You will be responsible for leading environmental compliance and performance, applying your expertise in environmental management, testing, and team leadership to make a meaningful impact.

Main Duties:
- Lead the delivery of environmental controls in line with the programme
- Implement and manage the EMP and ensure RC & CEMP compliance
- Monitor and test for sediment, turbidity, noise, and dust compliance
- Lead emergency response and fire management planning
- Manage reinstatement, stabilisation, and subcontracted landscaping scope
- Coordinate with client teams and ecologists
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Management
- 8+ years’ experience in environmental leadership on infrastructure projects
- Trained in erosion and sediment control (preferred)
- Skilled in inspection test plans, environmental monitoring, and HSE compliance
