Job description
As a Project Engineer, you will contribute to qualitative and innovative solutions in automatic access solutions. You will be responsible for various projects in the region between Dendermonde and Mechelen. You will be involved from order placement through to delivery, ensuring accurate follow-up and processing. Your responsibilities include:
- Technically reviewing orders for completeness and feasibility and adjusting them where necessary.
- Arranging preparatory site meetings with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Participating in site meetings and provisional acceptances.
- Assessing and checking structural and electrical provisions, as well as setting priorities and monitoring work sequences.
- Producing execution drawings and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD/CAD.
- Providing project information to customers, installers, and subcontractors, and acting as a point of contact within your region.
- Proactively taking action and maintaining an overview of the status of ongoing projects.
- Administrative follow-up of projects in the ERP system.
With your technical knowledge and project management skills, you will help deliver automatic doors on time and error-free. This in an environment where collaboration and results-orientation are central.
Profile
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and characteristics:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics is an absolute requirement. Junior profiles and recent graduates are also considered.
- Technical background with experience in AutoCAD/CAD drawing for mechanical and electrical designs.
- Fluent knowledge of Dutch and a basic knowledge of French and English.
- Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset, combined with a cost-efficient and proactive approach.
- Customer focus, communication skills, and assertiveness, with an eye for diplomacy during negotiations.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team, with a high sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to follow training partly in Houthalen (initially more frequent travel, later a maximum of 4 times per year).
- Willingness to be on the road 50% of the time and to independently monitor projects in the region. The other 50% you will work from home.
