Project Engineer

Job description

This role has end-to-end responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, including supervision of subcontractors, labour, plant and materials. The Project Engineer manages contractual compliance (NZS 3910), budgets, cost control, claims and invoicing, while maintaining strong client, council and subcontractor relationships. The position is hands-on, requiring regular site presence to drive productivity, ensure H&S, quality and environmental standards, and deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality. This role also involves monitoring and reporting project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
