What will you do?

As a Project Engineer, you will guide projects within AEP Hybrid Power from the technical handover after order to the final delivery. You are the connecting link between the customer, engineering, production partners, suppliers, and service.

You ensure that technical requirements, planning, budget, documentation, and testing are well aligned. You maintain an overview, identify potential problems in time, and ensure that actions and agreements are followed up.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Taking over and structuring projects after order, including scope, specifications, planning, budget, and risks
• Translating customer and contract requirements into clear technical specifications and work packages
• Preparing and monitoring project schedules, action lists, milestones, and technical delivery points
• Coordinating engineering, purchasing, production, testing, and documentation with internal and external partners
• Aligning different technical interfaces, such as converters, ultracapacitor systems, controls, cooling, and protections
• Organizing and guiding technical project meetings and design reviews with customers and suppliers
• Monitoring changes, technical risks, costs, and impacts on the schedule
• Preparing and guiding functional tests, FAT, SAT, and commissioning
• Ensuring complete project documentation, such as drawings, datasheets, manuals, test protocols, and delivery files
• Acting as the technical point of contact for customers and partners during project execution
• Evaluating completed projects and proposing improvements for our products and processes

In short: you ensure that a technical project runs smoothly and is well-managed from order to delivery.

Who are we?

Within AEP, we are active in various technical markets, including hybrid energy. With AEP Hybrid Power, we focus on innovative solutions in the field of energy storage and power electronics.

In your role, you will work on projects where different technical disciplines come together. Think of converters, ultracapacitors, control engineering, electrical installations, and energy storage.

You will work closely with colleagues from engineering, production, sales, and service, but also have regular contact with customers, suppliers, and production partners. This way, you are involved in the entire project lifecycle and will ultimately see your work in practice.

What do we ask of you?

• A completed bachelor's degree (hbo) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent

• Knowledge of power electronics, electrical installations, DC systems, AC grids, and/or energy storage is a strong plus
• Experience with technical project management, engineering projects, or commissioning is desired
• A few years of relevant work experience is a nice bonus. Are you a strong starter with relevant internships or projects? We would also love to talk to you
• You master the Dutch and English languages well, both orally and in writing. German is a plus
• You enjoy occasionally visiting customers and production partners at home and abroad
• You are structured, plan-oriented, and maintain a good overview
• You are technically analytical and can translate complex issues into clear actions
• You are a strong communicator and can connect different parties in a pleasant way
• You are proactive, solution-oriented, and do not wait when action is needed
