You start not in implementation, but where customer requirements are translated into effective solutions. A customer comes to you with a challenge. Maybe still unclear, maybe already concrete. You listen, ask the right questions, and quickly recognize what really matters. Together with your team, you develop a clear solution approach. You bring strategy, creation, and feasibility together and form a story that convinces. You lead the customer, team, and project safely through pitch, concept, and implementation and ensure that a good idea becomes a solution that works – creatively, relevantly, and economically viable.

Tasks

Your Contribution in an International Event Agency

As Project Director*, you take overall responsibility for complex live communication projects – from the first need recognition to successful implementation. Your various roles:

• Advisor/Adviser: You understand business and communication goals of your customers, recognize unspoken needs, and translate these into clear task assignments for interdisciplinary teams. While advising on an equal footing, you give orientation and develop together with the customer feasible solution paths.
• Bridge Builder/Bridge Builder: You lead pitches and proposal processes – content-wise as well as operationally. You structure tasks, develop together with your team convincing approaches, and bring strategy, creation, feasibility, and budget into a harmonious overall story. In presentations, you appear confidently, argue clearly, and build trust.
• Orchestrator/Orchestrator: You steer interdisciplinary teams from consulting, creation, production, and project management. You brief clearly, challenge constructively in terms of task assignment, target group, and feasibility, and ensure that all participants work towards a common goal. At the same time, you maintain an overview of priorities, decision-making paths, and the overall picture.
• Responsibility Holder/Responsible Person: You bear responsibility for quality, timing, resources, and economic success. You make decisions even under uncertainty, professionally handle risks, and steer projects safely through complex requirements and stakeholder structures.
• Treasurer/Treasury: You are neither a pure implementer nor a creative director. While senior project managers plan and manage projects professionally, you, as the project leader, are responsible for content leadership: You advise customers at a senior level, develop feasible solution approaches, steer creative quality, and lead teams so that convincing and economically viable results emerge.

Qualification

• You bring several years of experience in leading complex projects in an agency for live communication, events, or brand experience, and have already successfully managed pitches.
• You understand strategic connections, creative processes, and operational implementation equally well and can connect them securely. You move confidently within interdisciplinary teams and give experienced colleagues clear orientation.
• You are used to working with senior contacts on the customer side and providing security even in challenging situations.
• You have a very good understanding of financial matters as well as confidence in presentation and moderation – in German and ideally also in English – rounding off your profile.
