Project Controls Specialist

We're supporting leading Defence and maritime delivery programs with multiple contract opportunities.

These roles form part of the project controls function, supporting complex, large-scale programs with a focus on cost, schedule, and risk performance.

We're targeting experienced, senior-level professionals who can hit the ground running and provide guidance to more junior team members. These roles offer location flexibility, including Melbourne, Adelaide, or Perth.

The highlights:

• Contract Length: 3-6 months with strong potential to extend
• Location: Hybrid - roles available in Melbourne, Adelaide, or Perth
• Start: September/October
• Security Clearance : NV1 clearance

What you'll be doing:

• Leading project controls activities with a focus on cost, schedule, risk, and Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and performance baselines
• Supporting reporting cycles through variance analysis, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement
• Contributing to planning reviews and ensuring data accuracy for effective decision-making
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards and program requirements

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in senior project controls or planning roles within complex, large-scale programs
• Strong expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and their practical application
• Advanced skills in project scheduling and cost control software (e.g., Primavera P6, COBRA, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and delivering timely insights
• Effective communication skills, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all level
