Project Control Manager – Mining Industry – R1.1Mil – R1.3Mil

RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Project Control Manager in the Gauteng Province. This exciting role is with a multi-disciplinary engineering design and project management enterprise, specialising in innovative and sustainable techno-economic holistic solutions for mining projects, from concept stage to commissioning and handover. Responsibilities: Manage, revise and implement Procurement Policies and Procedures which will include but not be limited to: Standardisation of procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records of procurement activities. This role will also involve: Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, this role will require: Providing guidance and support to project teams on procurement matters, ensuring that procurement activities are aligned with project objectives and timelines. Furthermore, this role will involve: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with procurement activities, ensuring that procurement processes are robust and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, procurement, or project management, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate should also have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
