Software Architect
Job description
- Understand architectural theory beyond the limits of the main technological domain;
- Think and design in inter-domain technological terms;
- Familiarity with several key architectural models;
- Knowledge of best practices for designing architecture (architecture design process, quality management practices etc.);
- Understand best practices for documenting architecture (point-of-view-based approach, diagramming best practices etc.);
- Understand the structure of key SA artifacts - Solution Architecture Document, Solution Evaluation Report etc., and can participate in creating these;
- More than 8 years of practical experience in software development in relevant engineering domains;
- More than 2 projects as technical team leader with constant work practice over the last 3 years;
- Candidate is a SAS graduate;
- Experience with the complete life cycle of processes, approaches and software development methodologies Agile (SCRUM, XP, Kanban etc.);
- 1+ active technology provider certification (or recent completion certificate) in one of their main technological stacks;
- Certification from a global architecture certification provider (SEI, IASA etc.) is an advantage;
- Domain-specific knowledge and business acumen, according to EPAM Solution Practice requirements (see list here);
- 1+ engineers guided by level 3/4 in the corresponding discipline;
- Understanding (or experience) with the entire life cycle of software development processes, such as RUP, "Waterfall" or MSF.
