The Ideal Candidate The Generali Romania team is looking for a motivated colleague to join the Data Warehouse team at our central headquarters located in Charles de Gaulle Plaza, Bucharest.   • Higher education degree in IT or a relevant technical field, with proven experience in developing software solutions and data platforms
  • Professional experience of at least 3-5 years in a similar role; experience in the insurance sector is an advantage
  • Advanced English level
  • Mandatory technical skills:
    • Relational databases and T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server)
    • Development and optimization of ETL or ELT/ETLT processes used in Data Warehouse architectures
    • Use of ETL platforms, such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent solutions
    • Development of reports, dashboards, and Business Intelligence solutions using SSRS, Power BI, or equivalent technologies
    • Solid knowledge of Data Warehouse architectures, dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema), and data integration from heterogeneous sources
    • Data Governance and Data Quality concepts and practices
    • Ability to analyze, validate, and monitor data quality
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and activity management through ticketing systems and sprint planning
  • Technical skills that provide competitive advantages:
    • Knowledge or exposure to data integration via REST APIs and web service consumption
    • Familiarity with using code versioning systems (Git)
    • Python programming knowledge for automation, data processing, and integration
    • Exposure to Microsoft Azure services dedicated to data integration, orchestration, and processing, such as Azure Data Factory
    • Interest in cloud technologies, Data Engineering, and Analytics

Job Description Work mode: hybrid Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes development and maintenance requirements received through tickets, incidents, and Change Requests (CR)
  • Designs, develops, tests, and implements Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions
  • Develops, optimizes, and maintains ETL flows necessary for integrating data from operational systems into the Data Warehouse platform
  • Monitors and evaluates data quality, identifying and communicating critical issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Develops and expands the BI platform by implementing reports, dashboards, and analytical models
  • Collaborates with business users to collect, analyze, and clarify functional requirements
  • Prepares and maintains technical documentation related to developed solutions
  • Participates in data migration projects, system integration, and data platform modernization
  • Contributes to optimizing the performance of ETL processes and data structures within the Data Warehouse platform
