We're seeking an experienced Program Manager - Security & Compliance to join a leading Australian telecommunications company on a high-priority regulatory compliance and critical infrastructure program.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • $1200.00 a day Inclusive of super + GST
  • Initial 10-Month engagement, with possibility of extension.

THE ROLE:

We're seeking an experienced Program Manager - Security & Compliance to join a leading Australian telecommunications company on a high-priority regulatory compliance and critical infrastructure program.

This role is a unique hybrid of Program Management and Business Requirements Management, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will not only provide oversight but also be highly hands-on, managing details, engaging with subject matter experts, and producing high-quality program collateral.

You'll be responsible for translating complex regulatory requirements into clear deliverables, milestones, and outcomes, ensuring effective engagement across security, compliance, and business stakeholders.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain the program plan in MS Project, transitioning the current plan from Excel into a structured, sustainable format.
  • Lead the creation of a regulatory risk management and compliance framework that guides stakeholders on milestones, outcomes, and activities (TSRMP).
  • Engage with internal Security Group stakeholders and wider business teams to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and align priorities.
  • Capture and manage program actions, issues, risks, and dependencies, ensuring clear ownership and timely resolution.
  • Produce high-quality program documentation, presentations, and reports for both operational and executive audiences.
  • Support or lead stakeholder engagement efforts, escalating key risks or blockers to the Program Manager where necessary.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to define, document, and structure business requirements.

THE COMPANY:

A leading Australian telecommunications provider delivering high-speed network infrastructure nationwide, connecting communities and driving digital innovation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient user of MS Project - confident in creating, managing, and optimising complex project schedules.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, data manipulation) and advanced PowerPoint skills for executive-level communication.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and documenting business requirements.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance, security, or risk management programs.
  • Experience working in telecommunications or critical infrastructure sectors (highly desirable).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall).
  • SOCI experience (Security of Critical Infrastructure Act) highly regarded.
