Mechanical Designer

The Mechanical Designer sought, starting from technical project specifications, internal input and/or from clients, will be responsible for all related activities, starting from the interface with the client, through technical and economic development, up to coordinating all internal and external functions involved in the advancement of the project itself, monitoring timelines, investments, and costs.
Specifically, the role will involve:
- acquiring development and project realization needs from clients (customers and/or the Company itself);
- executing preliminary analyses for each request received to verify project feasibility;
- determining project costs and timelines, drafting product BOMs and their associated costs;
- developing the project in the design phase;
- managing product setup and performing functional product tests;
- managing and coordinating project advancement activities, interfacing with the relevant departments to share implementation plans and information flow;
- coordinating and managing any suppliers involved in the project;
- maintaining technical relationships with the client (Company and/or customer) in all phases of project development and realization, managing any needs or issues;
- Updating project documentation and managing change requests
Requirements:
- High school diploma with a technical-mechanical focus or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related fields);
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical design principles (3D, preferably with knowledge of Inventor/NX), including the creation of 2D drawings with geometric tolerances and dimensioning;
- Knowledge of designing components obtained through aluminum and zamak die-casting processes;
- Preferential basic knowledge of the aluminum and zamak die-casting process, particularly of the technical logic/rules for designing and manufacturing molds/production tooling;
- Good knowledge of project planning tools and experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred);
- Good knowledge of the English language (preferably at least B2 level)
