As a Civil Engineer in the consulting industry, you will be responsible for providing innovative solutions and technical expertise to clients in various sectors such as infrastructure development, transportation, water resources, and environmental projects. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. * Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies to assess project requirements. * Prepare detailed engineering designs, plans, and specifications using relevant software and tools. * Perform calculations and analyses to ensure designs meet relevant codes, standards, and regulations. * Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations. * Oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards. * Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively. * Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university. * Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). * Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a consulting environment. * Proven experience in designing and managing infrastructure projects. * Strong technical skills in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design and analysis tools. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. * Valid driver's license.
