Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture with Departmental Responsibility

The HES-SO Genève or the Haute école du paysage, d’ingénierie et d’architecture de Genève is opening a position for: Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture with Departmental Responsibility (80-100% CDI with a 4-year mandate) The Haute école du paysage, d’ingénierie et d’architecture de Genève (HEPIA) has approximately 350 employees, more than 1,100 students, 9 Bachelor degree programs, 4 Master's degree programs, and 3 research institutes. The Landscape Architecture department counts on the expertise of its professors to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and to ensure the quality of the training provided. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the department and to participate in the management of the program. The position is open to candidates who have a strong background in landscape architecture, urban planning, or a related field, with a focus on sustainable development, environmental issues, and social responsibility. The ideal candidate should have experience in teaching and research, as well as a strong network of contacts within the academic community. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, supervise students' projects, and participate in the development of new programs and initiatives. The position also involves administrative tasks, such as managing budgets, supervising staff, and participating in departmental meetings. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and be able to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
