Job description
The Prof. Thome Group has been a strong network of competencies in system analysis, software development, and consulting for over two decades. The seven companies within the group with headquarters in Würzburg work worldwide and have one goal: enabling future digital collaboration.
With our intelligent solutions for eProcurement and eSupply, Administration Intelligence AG supports public procurement authorities at federal, state, and local levels in efficiently and securely processing their procurement processes. We are looking for new colleagues who will share their skills and experience with us
About this job
Purchasing is more than just formal tendering: it ranges from demand determination to market research and the legally secure tender process until the contract and supplier management. This process is complex, heavily regulated, and has grown over years – and that's where we start. You will be part of a small, high-performance team that consistently uses AI to consolidate established procurement processes and outdated products, thinks anew, and makes them noticeably more efficient. Our claim: better software for procurement and tendering authorities as well as bidders, reducing costs and effort – in an environment that sets great store by self-responsibility, short distances, and genuine employee friendliness.
As a Product Manager:in, you are the interface between procurement, tender law, user needs, technology, and AI. You are responsible for what we build and why – and ensure that regulatory complexity becomes a product that people like to use.
Tasks
Your tasks
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: You develop a clear vision for our procurement and tendering software and translate it into a prioritized, understandable roadmap.
- End-to-End thinking: You consider the entire procurement process – from demand determination to tendering until the contract – and bring it together as a seamless product experience.
- Consolidate instead of multiply: You analyze existing products and processes, identify redundancies and legacy issues, and consolidate functionality deliberately – less but better.
- AI as a lever: You recognize where AI can create real added value (e.g., in the creation of tender documents, testing, research, demand analysis, or automating recurring steps) – and where not. You steer these initiatives from concept to release.
- Discovery & User proximity: You regularly speak with procurement and tendering authorities, bidders, and internal experts, understand their real workflows, and derive reliable requirements from them.
- Implementation in the team: You work closely with development, design, and law, write clear requirements, make prioritization decisions, and accompany releases until deployment.
- Metric & improve: You define success criteria (efficiency, costs, user satisfaction) and steer the product data-driven.
Qualification
- Multiple years of experience in product management for B2B or public sector software, ideally with regulatory domains.
- Understanding of Purchasing processes or demonstrated ability to quickly and deeply immerse yourself in complex regulatory topics.
- Experience with KI/LLM-based products or strong interest and pragmatism in using AI sensibly rather than as an end in itself.
- You think in benefits, not features: You can reduce complexity and clearly justify priorities.
- Structured, self-responsible work style and joy in being part of a small team with broad responsibilities.
- Very good German language skills (procurement and tendering are German-language-based), good English for technical cooperation.
Benefits
- Genuine design freedom: A small team with short decision-making paths, where your work becomes immediately visible.
- Sensible task: You make a regulatory dry but socially relevant area noticeably easier and more efficient.
- Modern toolkit: Current AI tools and the freedom to use them productively.
- Mitarbeiterfreundliche Kultur: Flexible working hours, home office/hybrid, focus on sustainable utilization rather than constant stress, and an environment that returns efficiency gains to people – not just the balance sheet.
- Development: Space for further education, professional exchange, and personal growth.
- Gesundheitsmanagement: Health offers like Wellpass and massages, drinks and fruit bar, job bike
Have we piqued your interest? Then we look forward to receiving your application with information on the possible start date and your salary wish.
