Production Manager Motor Assembly (m/w/d)

SurgeAero develops the next generation of high-performance drive systems and UAV platforms. We combine innovative aerospace technology with a fast-paced, pragmatic startup culture and build products that are used in real-world applications. To strengthen our production team, we are looking for a leadership figure who can scale up our manufacturing and shape the transition from prototype development to series production.

Your Mission

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning, controlling, and continuously developing our motor and UAV production. You will lead the production team, ensure quality and delivery dates, and develop efficient manufacturing processes. Together with Engineering and Procurement, you will lay the foundation for a scalable and high-performance production.

Tasks

Your Tasks

• Planning, controlling, and terminating production while considering capacities, material availability, and delivery dates.
• Fachliche and disciplinary leadership of the workshop and assembly teams, as well as promoting the further development of employees.
• Safeguarding the highest quality standards, including traceability, process safety, and continuous improvement (Lean & 5S).
• Responsibility for material flow, inventory management, and close cooperation with Procurement to prevent production interruptions.
• Closely cooperating with Engineering to industrialize new products and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Analyzing and reporting relevant production key figures such as output, throughput, quality, and delivery reliability.
• Participating in building and scaling a modern production organization.

Qualification

Your Profile

• Multiple years of professional experience in the field of production, manufacturing, or operations, ideally with leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrable experience in production planning and achieving quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes as well as Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Techincal background, for example as an engineer, master, technician or with comparable practical experience.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and responsible working style with developed leadership qualities.
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills.

Advantageous

• Experience in motor-, automotive-, aerospace- or precision manufacturing.
• Experience in building or scaling production lines.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems as well as quality management according to ISO 9001.
• Experience in a dynamic startup or scale-up environment.
